gimme some rain

i am so tired to even think of washing the car. i hope it rains tomorrow so that i won't feel so bad :)

yesterday was spent mostly in melaka - first at alam's convo and then to a short trip to jonker's street. if not for all the sunbathing done at alam i reckon we would have spent longer time at jonker. hehe. photos will be uploaded soon. i had the office's cool camera with me so i was snapping tonnes of pictures - while "trying" to sell merchandise.

anyhow. working with people at alam was a whole different ball game. the culture is different, the mentality and attitude altogether. we almost stirred a debate but decided to back off a bit, considering that we'd only be stooping to their levels. but really. it was really unnecessary - for any of them to feel like we are a "threat". it wasnt our choice to spend a beautiful sunny saturday at alam, helping them nevertheless. oh well.

since we got home a little past 8 pm last night i wasn't planning to do much today but instead an angel gave me a tix to watch season 3 of PGL. love it love it! i saw the first season so it was great to see how much they had progressed. cool new effects, costumes, music arrangements...however i still prefer the less-modern versions of some of the songs :)

as much as we don't believe in friday the 13th, our last friday was really, a challenging one at the office.
first it was one of our colleagues' car which broke down on her way to work. once she got to work she has this really pale look on her face and before we know it she was having a massive migraine and was weak to the point that we had to ask her to eat something, take pain killers, lie down and sleep.

while i put up some blankets and cushion for her to sleep in our "store", my mgr and i realized she had arranged for a meeting with 3 GMs that morning. so ape lagi, crash course on the topic of discussion and off we go into the meeting. phew. buat muke confident je. thank goodness it went well.

after our sick friend was sent home, another friend was really in distress which caused her to leave early. i was surprised to see her cry because she has always been a strong person. (she still is to me :) ). that leaves me with no choice but to accompany big boss to alam - which was really unnecessary since 2 other colleagues are already there to take notes during the session. but we figured the big boss didn't want to drive alone to melaka. by then i have dumped all my outstanding stuff onto the mgr's shoulder. heh. and that's how i ended up going home only after 8 pm :(

oh well. this is how life is. we can plan all we want. quoting murphy's law "if something is to happen, then it will happen" (or something like that :p)

i am just proud to see people at work try to accommodate each other and support each other in every way that we can. yes, we are each a different person - some very sanguine, some very melancholic. but when one person needs help the other would not hesitate even for a moment. i hope that everyone appreciate each other more :)

it's less than a week before i travel to japan for our last LNG baby...and i haven't requested the cash advance for our expenditures. man. i hope finance won't scream at me tomorrow when i tell them i need it by wednesday :p
